Sadly, it didn't take long for me to have a big gap in posting. It's not that I haven't been working on 'blog posts, it's that I've been having a difficult time finishing 'blog posts. I have one post that I've been ready to publish multiple times, only to learn something new and need to re-write part or all of it. I'm sitting on a half-dozen or so half-finished posts on top of that one. And the post I just published about depth of field has been sitting around waiting for me to publish since at least June but it felt like it was missing something*; I finally decided to bite the proverbial bullet and publish it anyways.
So, there you have it. I had a plan to post here pretty regularly, but I foolishly assumed that having two young kids at home was only twice as much work as having one, and boy was I wrong.
I appreciate your patience.

* There was also the incident where Google unpublished and deleted my post about vignetting for violating their TOS (which it clearly didn't) only to have it restored a few days later. So there may have been a little bit of lingering hesitation about that too....
